THE FORCE SERIES

“Another successful weekend and another awesome series race put on by Dean Lloyd, Triple Nickel Raceway and The Force Series. The series continues to grow with well over 160 entries for a one day race and the guys continue to work hard and get us out of there in a reasonable amount of time.

As for me my JQ Racing cars powered by #Bullitt engines JConcepts tires and Xpert servos ran flawlessly. The track was super grippy we went from super soft tires to soft long wear and back to super soft tires all in this 15 hour day.

I qualified pretty crappy but was able to pull out the win in the old dude nitro buggy class and a third in ebuggy. Special thanks to Jader Lopez for the awesome pit stops and to JR Mitch RC for the tekin speedo help if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have been able to finish the weekend in ebuggy.

Thanks to all the people who support me and allows me to do what I love.” – Jeff Keeton

1/8 MNL PRO CLASS

Another one for JQ Racing. Today is the Semis and Finals for the 1/8 MNL Pro Class.

A-mains Final: Grid start in G#4, flag off smooth n was abt P3 but a mistake in first last is costly and by lap 1, Adam and his JQ BE was at P11. Adam fought his way up the field and had a good battle in the last 10+ laps or so, swapping places chasing again between P4(Adam) and P3 and P2 which got everyone excited. Adam ended the 1 hour final in P2. Not bad for R1 Nats race result coming from P11 in the openning lap. Also it was a lot of fun.

Track was technical, rutty and rough. Thanks to JQ for recommending to use the stock BE Grey springs plus my decision to use a thinner shock oil. On power, Adam’s JQ BE just roll over the rutted area at high speed. The BE was excellent, REDS+Maxima fuel – powerful, stable. Congrats to all winners in their respective classes.

HOLIDAY HANGOVER

“We attended the “Wilde Events Holiday Hangover” in Moses Lake WA this past weekend.

Dylan ran 4mod, Nitro Truggy, and expert ebuggy. He won the BMain and bumped up in 4mod, then started 3rd in the bmain for Truggy and unfortunately broke in a false start melee. In expert ebuggy he struggled to find his groove with his new JQ Grey edition ebuggy. The car performed well, no complaints. All In all things went pretty well for the first race of the year.

The old man raced three classes as well. I put my JQ Black edition in the AMain in old man buggy finishing 11th. I drove very conservative all weekend but the car handled like a dream. I took the B44 Franken Truggy to the AMain in 1/10 Truggy class. Finishing up 6th in her maiden voyage. I ran my JQ Grey edition in expert e buggy where I drove very conservative again. The buggy handled great, I just needed to push harder.

Thanks to our sponsors, without your support this isn’t possible.” – Cotton Candy Cowboys

JQ Racing’s Young Gun driver Koby Harris sent us this report from the Holiday Hangover last weekend well done Koby keep up the good work. #jqtakeover

“A very good track! All my cars felt really good and I managed to get on the podium! In stadium truck I got a 2nd overall, Short course 6th overall, and my JQRacing Ebuggy I got 16th with only one more spot and I would of raced against Adam Drake! Thank you to all my sponsors and team! Great weekend to keep moving forward! “

STRICKLAND RC RACEWAY CLUB RACE
Race Report by Trent Walker

This weekend I went to Strickland RC Raceway for their club race and the atmosphere throughout the day was awesome and I had an awesome time with some old friends! I ran both my JQ buggies in the open classes and man was there some competition. I didn’t do as well as I wanted in qualifying as finding the appropriate tire was difficult for the surface but I was able to qualify 2nd in ebuggy and 10th in nitro buggy.

In ebuggy, I moved to the TQ position because John Bernard being the awesome race director he is chose to call the race rather than race it. I got a great start and just cruised for the entire 10 min main only making one mistake in traffic. My car handled great and I was able to take the win!

Now nitro was a different story…. being that I was starting 10th on the grid I knew I had some work to do. I got a great start moving up to 4th but I got shoved around a bit and moved back to 12th but I didn’t give up! I knew I was running a different pit strategy than everyone else and I just stayed smooth and conservative. I quickly started to make my way through the field getting up to the 3rd position. I had a pretty cool battle with mr.Bobby Smith but I was able to cross the line in the 2nd position after the 25 minute main!

My b5 pro 3 was absolutely amazing all day getting awesome fuel mileage! We recently started using the Werks fuel and it seems like my motor has been kill every time I’ve driven it! I struggled with my nitro at the beginning because I was making to many changes but I ended up going back to the setup I started with and it was way better and more smooth by the end of the day. For the mains I ran jconcepts r2 triple dees in nitro and blue triple dees in ebuggy which were glued to the track.

The Strickland crew did an amazing job with the track and the food was killer. I can’t thank Rob Guarriello enough for all the hard work him and his crew has done to make the Daytona facility the best in Florida!! I’m proud to call Strickland my local track!!
